Requirements:
- High School or equivalent education.
- Successful completion of the National Pharmacy Technician Certification program.
- Successful completion of Pharmaceutic Labs functional assessment.
- Able to work efficiently fully gowned in an ISO 7 cleanroom environment.
- Understanding of USP 797, cGMP and GDP.
- Precision and detail oriented.
- Able to work effectively and multi-task in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
- Communicate effectively in all forms: written, verbal and non-verbal.
- Demonstrate a history of reliable attendance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification
- CGMP or compounding pharmacy experience
- Experience in hospital, IV/admixture, and chemo or home infusion helpful
- Science background desired
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
- Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Windows based pharmacy system
Description:
Department: Production
Reports To: Facility Manager
Position Overview: Admix and dispense sterile products by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setting up for production – devices, drawing station, etc
- Assembles, inspects and verifies compounding components.
- Responsible for sterile compounding duties, including, but not limited to, IV admixture and small volume parenteral preparation
- under direct pharmacist supervision.
- Compounding of specialty pharmaceuticals which may include dilution calculations.
- Properly process sterile products in both horizontal and vertical laminar flow environments according to SOP’s and CGMP.
- Verifies ingredients involved in compounding & documents appropriately in batch record per SOP’s and GDP.
- Responsible for the health and safety of him/herself, co-workers, patients and the public.
- Assist with shipping as necessary
- Entering and/or printing orders and product labels
- Inventory control
- Knowledge/ability in packing and labeling
- Work efficiently and effectively
- Other duties as assigned
